They are cutting the long grass at the dog park in small increments. As a photographer, this makes me sad. As a dog owner, this makes me happy. Inner conflict?
Mari and I went through the long grass. We got very wet. Mari has an interesting technique for long grass. She muscles it out of the way with her head. Elegant? No. Effective? mmmm…not sure.
I don’t know why I love long grass so much. It plays havoc with my allergies.
I had a pit bull/lab cross jumping at me while attempting this shot. I think he thought my camera was a treat. It is a treat. A very expensive treat. This is my favourite image I took today.
Mari loves rainy days at the UVIC dog park. So many smells. So many possible things to hunt.
This is usually all I see of my dog at the dog park. A flying mass of colour.
This is the fence that separates my dog from the bunnies… thank gawd.
Yup, a very rainy day at the UVIC dog park. I love me some rain light.
Time to go home Mari…
