Mid Island Bellydance Bazaar – Nanaimo BC

Last month I went up to Nanaimo to take photos at the Mid-Island Bellydance bazaar, which brought out dancers from all over the island. So much fun. Here are some highlights.

All red? Yes!

Love me some veils.

Yup, love me some veils.

These two did the most interesting piece. Honestly, I could do a whole post just on the pictures I took during their piece.

My dance buddy Bunny doing her thang.

Harmony Dance Troupe from Victoria showing us how ATS is done.

Lynette is probably one of my favourite performers.

Shimmy Mob from all over the island was out in force. Shimmy Mob raises money for local women’s shelters. Such a great cause.

This piece was great. They asked for participation from the audience.

I can’t remember what this style was, but it was new to me.

I have better shots of their faces, but I love the way these skirts moved in this one.

Bellydance can be silly.

And high energy.

And cheeky.
