Belly Dancer at St. Anne’s Academy and Victoria Cathedral | Victoria BC Dance Photographer
Meet Luna.
Luna contacted me to take some belly dance photos of her and you know I love me some belly dance photos. We were going to take them last month in Nanaimo but Luna was getting custom made costumes from Lebanon and they hadn’t arrived yet. So we postponed, and I sure am glad that we did. Such gorgeous costumes for a gorgeous dancer. I usually only shoot at one location during a photoshoot but we pushed this one and did three locations!!! We started at St. Anne’s Academy, then moved on to the Cathedral and ended in Millie’s Lane. Incidentally, Millie’s Lane is the location of my first belly dancer teacher – Asmira, so it felt right to end the shoot there.
Enjoy the beautiful Luna.

Those costumes were worth the wait. Fabulous photos!
WOW! Luna, these are utterly GORGEOUS! But that’s obvious. My favourite is the relatively close up one of you in the yellow costume standing in front of the blue door, because you look SO proud and strong and clear as well as stunningly beautiful.
Stunning pictures 🙂 Just beautiful 🙂 lt’s hard to tell which one would be my favourite there all done so beautifully 🙂 Got a few , the one with her in red looking over her shoulder , The other one in front of the church with the yellow scarf the closer up picture and the one that’s farther back. Both are done excellent the colouring of her red and yellow matching the back ground and the shades of light coming in and the shadows the red flowers in front of the church bringing out her red costume done so lovely.Awesome to the woman that took the pictures 🙂 Your work is very good you have a good eye there 🙂 🙂 :)And finally the close up on her smiling face 🙂 Shes beautiful 🙂 and shes my baby sister 🙂 🙂
Wow! the colours and beauty expressed in these photos.. Amazing! Luna is gorgeous.. My fave is the one at the end with Luna in the doorway of the church with both arms above her head.
