Beautiful Wedding at St. Anne’s Academy
It was a slightly rainy day when I left my house to photograph Amanda and Yanni’s beautiful wedding at St. Anne’s Academy. You know the says, that rain is lucky on your wedding. I don’t know if that is true, I suspect it is what they tell brides to make them feel better. But in between the sprinkling of rain, came splotches of sunshine and all around it was a beautiful day. A day filled with laughter and a whole lot of people stuffed into a little chapel 🙂 I met Amanda at Parkside Hotel, which is right across the road from St. Anne’s Academy, where she and her family were getting ready. What a beautiful hotel!
Getting ready at the Parkside Hotel
The obligatory dress in window shot.
Amanda’s bouquet smelled amazing! And tulips… such a great choice for a spring wedding.
The beautiful bride
I think they like the dress 🙂
I call this one – A Father’s Pride. He almost made me cry.
Wonderful detail in her dress.
How many bridesmaids does it take to put on a veil?
Amanda you are so gorgeous! It’s true. My assistant said so, and she is never wrong.
I can’t decide if this one should be in black and white or colour. What do you think?
Amanda and her sister walking over to St. Anne’s Academy. Thank goodness it was so close as they were both rocking some high heels!
Preparing in the side room of the chapel.
Beautiful Wedding at St. Anne’s Academy
Time for the ceremony. If you are thinking about St. Anne’s for your wedding, do it. It is an amazing location!
Yanni, as the patient groom.
Such a proud dad!
Getting married!
Mother and father of the bride
Mother and father of the groom
These friends did an amazing rendition of The Prayer, originally sung by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion. It was gorgeous!
Married!!!
Posing in front of St. Anne’s Academy. Amanda was such a trooper, walking over grass in those heels!
But they are gorgeous heels 🙂
Portraits at Beacon Hill Park and Finalyson Point
On to portrait time!
Tulips in the bouquet, tulips in the portraits at Beacon Hill Park. Perfection.
We did cherry blossom in their engagement photos (you can see them here), so we thought we would add what was left of them to the wedding photos.
How many bridesmaids does it take to bustle a dress? 3. And many attempts.
While that was happening, I looked over and this was happening. Boys will be boys haha.
A bit heavy handed with the symbolism in this one? I don’t care.
This one might be my favourite of the day.
Or maybe this one…. I can’t decide.
Then after a quick stop for contact solution, we headed to Finalyson Point (which is in the dog park).
Some Blue Steel going on in this one.
The beautiful wedding party.
And some silly portraits of them.
Reception at the Da Vinci Centre
On to the reception at the Da Vinci Centre  This cake looks too good to eat!
Laughing at speeches
The father of the bride made a lovely speech.
Then the father of the groom got up and did a very emotional Greek song. I don’t know what he was saying, but I know what he meant… you know?!?
The first dance…. did they dance like a 7th grade sock hop? Maybe for a bit.
Father daughter dance.
Now, wasn’t that a beautiful wedding! Thank you Amanda and Yanni for letting me be part of your special day. It was such a beautiful wedding at St. Anne’s Academy. Which image is your favourite? Leave Amanda and Yanni some love in the comments. 30 comments gets them a free gift!
