Todd had this theory. His theory is that an older dog will pass on its doggy wisdom to a new dog and the new dog will take on traits like the older dog. So, as Bear is now 12 1/2, he felt it was now or never for Bear to pass on his doggie wisdom. So, after haunting the SPCA for the last couple of weeks, we welcomed Marley into our home today. She is a Lab Ridgeback Cross and so far is lovely. Bear gets along with her, as does our landlords dog.

Bonnie Cat has been under the futon since Marley arrived. No Cat love for the new dog.
