This world is stressful. We all know this. And I believe that we are starting to understand that there is nothing wrong with getting help to navigate modern society. But what do you do when you aren’t into talk therapy?

Enter Sarah.

Sarah uses imagery of water and flowers to help your mind heal without revisiting past traumas. Beautiful and so healing.

During our initial consultation, Sarah told me that she had photos done by another photographer previously, but only got a couple of usable photos out of the session. Bummer. When I probed a little deeper, she told me that the poses the photographer had used where more “model-esque” and not flattering. Also, they didn’t really give the vibe that Sarah exudes of friendly, welcoming, inclusive, and calming. I get it. Photos that you use for your business and your brand are very different than family portrait style and very, very different than those that the fashion space would use.

We decided to use Beacon Hill Park to give Sarah nature styled photos but giving at least three totally different looks. Beacon Hill Park features a section that is very manicured, a section that is much more “wild” and a section that overlooks the ocean. Heaven.

This session took just over an hour and we ended up with over 60 photos for Sarah to use on her website, and in her social media. She envisions using many of the images as backdrops to inspiring quotes that her clients love. We also updated her headshot (which is super important to do regularly, especially if you have a new hairstyle), as well as some basic nature shots to use as headers on her blog. Here are a small selection of the photos we took.

I think the images captured my personality and convey the warmth I want potential clients to feel when they see my headshots.”
