Baby on baby blanket with giraffes

Iver’s Baby Photos

I got to know Dylan through a computer at our old job. For years we communicated via email and the program we used to move money around the world. He was my go to in his department when things went to hell. You know, the kind of guy you know will get things done for you. Then, our jobs got pulled out from under us and we were forced to go our separate ways. But I kept track of Dylan via social media… that great connector. I know Dylan likes social media and technology. One time at work, he showed us how he had set up a webcam to monitor what his dogs did all day. Turns out pugs just sleep. I have seen how social media allowed people to rally around him in the darkest of times. Most of all, I am glad that because of social media, I was able to reach out and give him a gift…

Iver came home about 2 weeks ago. After settling in for a week, I headed out on a blistering hot day to do some baby portraits. Can I say… easiest baby session ever! Iver is a natural in front of the camera and hardly fussed at all. Most of the fussing came from the pug siblings… Without further ado…

Dylan, your house has amazing light.

The next one is my favourite of the session. Iver just looks so content, and you can see Dylan’s beautiful tribute tattoo.

Dad, who is this lady? And why are you holding me like this?

He looks a tad worried in this one. lol

He originally had his hands in a total rock star pose, but I didn’t get it in time. And then, I just couldn’t get him to move back into it. What can I say? I love baby rockers. But this is sweet too.

The pug siblings. I have never been serenaded while shooting, quite like this. Dylan asked for a family portrait. Moet and August didn’t want to be photographed. So, you know how this was achieved? I have a piece of Kraft singles cheese in my left hand, right above my lens. You do what you need to do.

Isn’t he just adorable? Leave him some love in the comments and let Dylan know which of Iver’s Baby Photos is your favourite. 20 comments gets him a free gift.
